At 12:33 on May 15, 2026, the Lijian-1 Y13 carrier rocket lifted off from the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Site on a single launch carrying five satellites. Recently, Haoyue Fully Automatic Gasoline Octane Rating Engine—independently developed by Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum & Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shenkai Equipment”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Shenkai—has successfully passed the acceptance testing of Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (hereinafter referred to as “Sinopec RIPP”). In a direct comparison with CFR’s F1/F2 octane rating engines, on-site data results demonstrated full compliance with method standards, with highly stable measurements and convenient automated operation. This achievement signifies that Shenkai Instruments has successfully broken the long-standing import monopoly and realized domestic substitution of octane rating engines. With its solid technological capabilities earning authoritative recognition from Sinopec RIPP, this marks an important milestone in China’s independent development of core fuel-testing equipment.
